About UNITY Mobile

One of the hardest things to do in any industry is to take something complex and make it simple.

UNITY began with a vision. A vision to mobile enable brands, sites, businesses, applications, commerce, ads, and even your grandma. We see web and mobile convergence quickly becoming a reality. By enabling web hosters, telcos, and web directories with an easy-to use platform, users would have everything needed to make a mobile website, develop mobile apps, and build a website all in one place.

Before undertaking the major investment of time, money and resources into building the UNITY Mobile platform to deliver on that vision, we reviewed what was already out there. We did our research, quickly learning no other mobile solution offered a full mobile web service, including all the tools needed for creating a mobile website, building mobile apps, and developing a mobile marketing campaign.

UNITY Mobile had a large vision to achieve, and in order to deliver on that vision, we knew our product would have to start with a subscription service model. We foresaw a cost-effective subscription model connecting with virtually any web services technology, and with a seamless user experience. To integrate these operations to the mobile channel, we knew we had to build our product from the ground up.

Thomas Wittig
CEO
Thomas Wittig is CEO and Managing Partner of UNITY Mobile, provider of a cloud-based mobile web and marketing solution that enables organizations to leverage Internet strategies and operations directly in the mobile channel.
Over the past 20 years Mr. Wittig has held executive leadership positions in strategy and operations in leading technology and service companies such as Microsoft Corporation and SAP.

Before joining UNITY Mobile in 2011, Mr. Wittig was the Coo/EVP at KIT Digital where he was responsible for worldwide Solution Delivery, Operations and Client Services. Prior to KIT Digital, Mr. Wittig was at SAP, a leading provider of business software solutions. As a SVP, his role involved heading Small and Medium Enterprise Solutions, Partner and Ecosystem Services and reporting to the board as part of the Senior Executive Team.

Daniel West
Managing Director
Daniel West is one of the founders of UNITY. After several years working with leading media brands such as Sony, Warner, Universal, Viacom, Fox, Disney and others to create and implement cutting edge mobile web and application experiences, he saw the opportunity to create a disruptive, cloud-based software service that made it easy for any size organization to deliver world-class mobile experiences quickly and inexpensively. UNITY was created to serve the mobile needs of the largest enterprise as well as millions of SMB’s worldwide through key partnerships with service providers already delivering web solutions. As an experienced entrepreneur, Daniel has founded several companies in the high tech and media space, including BigBoard Networks, The ITEC Network and Cyberplay. Daniel has also held positions at Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery and Barclays Bank PLC and is a graduate of Baylor University.

John Williams
CFO
John has over 15 years of investment banking and corporate financial experience with particular expertise in the telecommunications and media industries. Prior to joining Unity Mobile, John was a Vice President in Lehman Brothers’ Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York where he advised public and private clients with transactions in the telecommunications and media industries. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he was Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at AT&T Corp. where he led the completion of venture capital investments and M&A transactions. He has successfully completed transactions exceeding $25 billion in total value. John received a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an International MBA from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management.

Roy Joseph
President
Roy Joseph joined UNITY Mobile with over 20 years of sales and general management experience. He has a proven track record building successful direct and indirect sales channels and teams across the US, Europe and the Far East for companies including Novell, FTP Software, Voxware, Inc. and Quarterdeck.
Before joining UNITY Mobile, Roy co-founded and acted as EVP, Sales and Business Development of Nellymoser, a US based Mobile Media Services company. Prior to Nellymoser, Roy was at Voxware, a NASDAQ listed technology company where he was instrumental in establishing Voxware’s European offices and latterly managed worldwide sales efforts that won deals with industry players such as Nokia, Microsoft, Orange and Emblaze. While at Novell, Roy established international distribution channels for Novell’s Network Management Products. He also successfully launched Firefox in Europe which was subsequently acquired by FTP Software.

Petr Cimprich
CTO
Petr Cimprich has more than 11 years of IT industry experience specializing in Web and Web Services, XML and Mobiles.
Before joining UNITY Mobile, Petr co-founded and for 7 years acted as COO, development lead and analyst of Ginger Alliance, a Czech-based software company. Prior to Ginger Alliance, Petr was in Hieronymus, being involved in localization of software with companies like IBM, Microsoft and Novell. Petr holds a PhD in Physics from Charles University in Prague.
